The Role They are looking for an experienced professional to join their team as Special Projects Manager / Light Commercial Manager. Reporting to the General Manager of Special Projects, this role is responsible for managing projects from start to finish while maintaining and building relationships with clients and subcontractors and ensuring your projects' financial and operational delivery. The Responsibilities Check that equipment suppliers and sub-contractor quotes comply with specifications, contracts, and quality requirements. Negotiate with equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to achieve specifications, contracts, and quality requirements. Prepare letters of intent/place orders for all equipment and subcontractors. Prepare equipment supplier and delivery schedules for issue. Attend sites regularly, including site meetings, ensure site labor is adequate, and site diaries are completed correctly. Ensure project financial status is regularly reviewed and updated. Document claims for delay and extension of time (costs only to be claimed, where applicable and agreed with Division Manager). Input variations as they occur and before work starts. Manage design and documentation on all projects. Compile operating and maintenance manuals. Initiate warranty maintenance program. The Requirements Minimum five years of commercial experience with consulting engineers or mechanical services, preferably with relevant tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Building Services, or Engineering. Experience in contract reviews and negotiations. Ability to work in a team environment and manage staff with varied disciplines of expertise. A strong focus on OHS & E and quality systems. Service-focused, hands-on professional with a natural drive to ‘get things done.’ Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and time management skills.
