Senior Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth, working on large complex building and heavy civil engineering construction projects.
About the Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for taking full commercial responsibility for large and complex subcontract packages, from tender to final account. You will also be responsible for commercial management of subcontractors, ensuring timely preparation of reliable monthly cost/value reports, and management of change and risk processes within works packages.
- Take full commercial responsibility for large and complex subcontract packages, from tender to final account.
- Commercial management of subcontractors, including processing payments, obtaining final account agreements, and resolving disputed issues by negotiation.
- Ensure timely preparation of reliable monthly cost/value reports for work packages, together with review of results and consideration of trends with project team members.
- Management of change and risk processes within works packages and supporting the wider project commercial team with appropriate contract notices.
- Assist in the production of monthly/quarterly reports, providing commercial input, including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team.
Requirements
- Education to degree level or equivalent experience within a similar role.
- Working knowledge and experience of ECC NEC4 contracts.
- Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
- Full valid driving license.
