Human Resources Manager

Our client is a well-established boutique law firm located in downtown Vancouver. On their behalf, we seek a part-time Human Resources Manager to support the firm’s Partners by managing the HR function, and acting as liaison and facilitator for various departments and stakeholders. As the ideal candidate for this role, you are an experienced law firm leader who is approachable, flexible, and reliable.The firm offers:Collaborative work environmentReduced work week (3 or 4 day per week schedule)Comprehensive group benefitsFitness and professional development subsidiesResponsibilities:Overseeing the employee lifecycle, which includes:Full cycle recruitment and selection of staffOnboarding of new employeesConducting annual performance reviews and compensation analysisAddressing performance concerns as neededAdministering benefits and leaves of absenceManaging staff vacation timeOverseeing terminations and departuresAdministering firm Policies and Procedures, and updating them as required in accordance with Employment StandardsRunning payroll in collaboration with Finance DirectorAssist Partners and Finance Director with day-to-day operations of the firm.Requirements:A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience within a law firmStrong communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution capabilitiesStrong leadership, analytical, and organizational skillsOpen and flexible attitudePost-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field is considered an asset.Compensation:Our client offers a competitive compensation and total benefits package, and the expected annual salary range for this position is $90,000-100,000 (full-time equivalent; will be pro-rated to reflect part-time schedule).For more information, please apply today or contact your Hunter West consultant.Thank you for your interest in this opportunity.
