Senior Automation Specialist

Responsible for overseeing any necessary system updates, service, and repair of advanced DCS Systems.Related experience with DeltaV system deployments and maintenance. Experience with DeltaV Advance Control, SmartProcess, and DeltaV Configuration Suite would be considered an asset.Advanced knowledge with Rockwell Automation’s PlantPAx Modern DCS system and related software suites.Related experience with Rockwell Automation systems for new or mature equipment utilizing RSLogix 5, 500, 5000, FactoryTalk Studio software, and Studio5000.Providing advanced automation support for the field services mining division. Assisting with the growth of JPI Solutions subject matter experts will further grow the JPI team in Saskatoon and further expand our strategic client partnerships.Troubleshoot problems, identify, and implement new or amended system functionality, identify operational process gaps, and take corrective actions.Recommend and initiate modifications or replacement of equipment, which fails to meet operating standards.Execute initiatives supporting our automation strategy, support standards, manage operating workflows and progress continuous improvement opportunities.Perform project management functions for customer projects including needs identification, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.Consults with customers on regular basis to provide recommendations and automation system best practices for maintained and upcoming projects.What we’ll be looking for on the resume:A minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.Degree in Electrical, Process, or Computer Science Engineering would be be ideal.
