Temporary Laboratory Chemist

Laboratory Chemist needed in West Yorkshire on a temporary basis. Requiring proven industrial experience in a laboratory setting, ideally within testing and/or development. Title: Laboratory Chemist Location: West Yorkshire Salary: £22,000 - £27,000 pro rata (dependent on experience) Term: Ongoing temporary work SRG are working with a highly successful company that are part of very large wider global corporation, that have a presence in over 50 countries across the world. They specialise in the manufacture and distribution of adhesives, additives and lubricants for use in various applications ranging from automotive, construction, polymers and other speciality products. They are seeking a Laboratory Chemist to join their team in West Yorkshire to help manage the laboratory workload including performing mechanical and chemical testing, providing technical service and other laboratory work. This role would suit candidates that have proven industrial experience in a laboratory setting. Role/Description Performing chemical and mechanical analysis of manufactured products, using techniques such as XRF, Karl Fischer, IR, viscosity measurements, and density measurements Supporting in providing technical support to internal and external clients Supporting in other laboratory work Immediate reporting of any out of spec issues to line manager Accurate and meticulous input of data into ERP system Effective communication with factory personnel and managementRequirements Degree in Chemistry (or similar) Previous laboratory experience in a laboratory setting Familiarity with Microsoft office and basic IT skills Excellent written and communications skills Ability to work meticulously and methodically Willingness to learn, and to engage and work as part of a team Previous experience with aerosol testing/ development is useful SRG is the UK's number one recruitment company specialising in the scientific, engineering, clinical, pharmaceutical, food/FMCG, energy & renewables, biotech, chemical and medical device sectors.
