Senior Systems Administrator

Our client is an established and reputable manage services provider in Toronto and they are currently looking for a Senior Systems Administrator. Senior Systems Administrator:Our client is Managed IT Service Provider, founded in 2001. They currently support IT systems of various organizations in the GTA and across Canada. They offer a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and encourages a fun and open atmosphere, suited for driven and self-motivated individuals. They are currently in need of a Senior System Administrator that would lead a small team and report to our head office. It is a hybrid position, so the Senior Systems Admin must be available to work from home and visit client's sites. Much of the work will be on the back-end infrastructure, but the position requires interacting with users - this is not a "server room only" position.Responsibilities and skills:The candidate must have excellent communication skillsThe candidate must be customer oriented and have high-end customer service skills.System Admin:Windows/VMWare Server – Monitoring/Maintenance/UpdatesAntiVirus and Security Systems Management and ResponseBackups and Restores (on-prem and SaaS)Software Licensing ManagementMicrosoft/Office 365:SharePoint AdminExchange AdminTeams/Phone AdminAnd othersNetworking:Routers, firewalls (Meraki, SonicWALL)Switches, VLANs, WiFi, VPNsEnd-user support:Troubleshoot and resolve escalated user technical issues (remote and onsite)General end-user support, from time to timeRollouts and deployments hardware and softwareWork with 3rd party vendors – quotes, procurementScripting/Automation:PowershellOther bonus skills:Web:Design applications such as: Revit, AutoCADWeb DNS RelatedSSL Certificate CSRs and Installs (most, not all)Cpanel/PleskTroubleshooting hosting php/mysqlQualifications:College/CEGEP/Vocational or Technical trainingMinimum 7+ years of experience in a related fieldMicrosoft certification is a plusCompensation:$100-$120k base salary3 weeks vacationHealth and Dental Benefits
