We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team and manage our cloud and on-premises network infrastructure. This position will report to the Associate Director of Network Engineering. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure and GCP cloud networks, Cisco & Meraki Wireless, Cisco ISE for dot1x authentication, Palo Alto firewall management, and an understanding of Cisco ACI. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Network Management: Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure in Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Configure and maintain Network Security Groups (NSG) to control inbound and outbound traffic. Implement and manage Application Gateways to optimize traffic distribution and enhance security. Configure and fine-tune Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies to protect applications from common threats and vulnerabilities. Utilize Cloud Connect services to establish secure, high-performance connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments. End User Networking: Configuring network devices for optimal performance, security, and compatibility. Performing hardware and software upgrades to improve network performance or security. Deployment and maintenance of Cisco and Meraki wireless networks. Optimize wireless performance and ensure reliable, high-speed connectivity for all users. Conduct regular assessments and troubleshooting to maintain network integrity and performance. Continuously monitoring network performance and security, using tools like SNMP, NetFlow, or syslog. Security Implementation: Configure and manage Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for 802.1X authentication. Implement robust security policies and protocols to protect network access and data integrity. Monitor and respond to security incidents to minimize risks and vulnerabilities. Administer Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including creating and updating security policies. Conduct regular firewall audits and assessments to ensure optimal performance and security. Implement firewall rules and configurations to protect network resources from threats. Datacenter Networking: Utilize knowledge of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) to support Datacenter core network infrastructure. Maintain and troubleshoot ACI configurations to ensure seamless operation. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot OSPF and BGP protocols on Nexus switches and Cisco routers. Ensure optimal routing and network performance by fine-tuning OSPF and BGP configurations. Resolve complex routing issues to maintain seamless network connectivity and stability. Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance using various tools and techniques (Solarwinds, Datadog and cloud native tools). Conduct regular network assessments and health checks to identify and resolve issues promptly. Troubleshoot network problems and outages, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed network documentation, including configurations, topologies, and procedures. Ensure network operations comply with industry standards and company policies. Utilize ITSM tools such as ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management. Track and manage network-related incidents and service requests through the ITSM platform Keep records up-to-date and accessible for reference and audit purposes. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including security, application development, and support. Provide network-related expertise to support various projects and initiatives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address their networking needs. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on cloud and on-premises network management. Certifications: Relevant certifications such, CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or GCP certifications are highly desirable. Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing Azure and GCP cloud network services. Experience with Cisco & Meraki Wireless solutions. Strong knowledge of Cisco ISE for dot1x authentication. Expertise in Palo Alto firewall management. Understanding of Cisco ACI architecture and integration. Experience in configuring and fine-tuning Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies. Expert knowledge and troubleshooting skills in OSPF and BGP protocols on Nexus switches and Cisco routers. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
