Accounts Payable Lead - Paris

The Accounts Payable Lead Role and Responsibilities Supervise, mentor, and train accounts payable staff Oversee the daily processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests Ensure all payments are processed on time and according to company policies Verify and reconcile discrepancies in vendor statements and accounts Manage the weekly check run and electronic payments Monitor and manage the AP inbox to address vendor inquiries and internal requests promptly Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors Negotiate payment terms and schedules with vendors as needed Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the accounts payable function Collaborate in the procurement creation process Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports for management Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and relevant regulations Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes Proficiency in accounting software (Netsuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail A proactive mindset and curiosity Ability to adapt in a multicultural environment Fluent in verbal and written English/French Preferred Qualifications Experience in an international company.
