Regional Director for Latin America and Country Representative for Peru (G-24-33) The International Potato Center (CIP)is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Regional Director for LatinAmerica and Country Representative for Peru. The position: This positionplays a dual role as Country Representative for Peru and Regional Director forLatin America, with the goal to safeguard and further develop CIP’s essentialrelationship with the Government of Peru and other Peruvian partners andstakeholders while growing CIP’s science and innovation portfolio in LatinAmerica. AsCountry Representative, the position leads CIP’s country implementation plansfor Peru in support of the CIP2030 strategic goals and in accordance with CIP’sHeadquarter Agreement in Peru. As Regional Director for Latin America, theposition is responsible for government, partner and funder relations andrepresents CIP with these stakeholders in the region. The Regional Directordirects and supports Country Managers and ensures organizational growth in theregion through technically and financially sound programming and equitablepartnerships. The successful candidate will report to the Director General and willbe based in Lima, Peru. Requirements Advanced degree (PhD or Master) in a Science or Managementdiscipline. At least 10 years of progressive international experience insimilar research and/or development organizations. Significant leadership experience in an equivalent position in adevelopment or international organization. Strong experience of institutional representation with Government,national stakeholders, and the international community in Peru. Strong track record of establishing and managing productivestrategic partnerships with funders, governments, international organizations,and the research community at regional level in Latin America. Strong knowledge and experience of management practices to enablethe creation of appropriate country and regional implementation plans andmechanisms. Budget management and IT literate (Microsoft and ERP software). o Focus on big picture and strategic vision. o Building and maintaining partnerships and relationships. o Planning and managing staff to achieved quality results. o Influencing and resolving differences across boundaries. o Leading by example Outstanding written andoral communication skills in English and Spanish. #J-18808-Ljbffr
