National Fine Wine Sales Director

Job DescriptionNational Sales ManagerWe are seeking candidates for a Director of National Wine Sales.We are an established importer and distributor of high quality European Wines.We sell our exclusive wines in 12 states. Our goal is to grow sales in these states and selectively expand to additional territories.Our winemakers and wineries are well recognized, highly rated by the international wine press and have strong brand awareness.Successful candidates will have an established career of successful experience selling fine wine. This needs to include top performance among peers, a record of growing responsibility including promotion to broader responsibilities and successful supervision of other team members.Responsibilities of this role include:Overseeing local and regional sales, promotions and campaignsPlanning and directing the hiring and training of new Sales RepresentativesDirecting and coordinating all sales activities locally and nationallyPreparing sales budgets and projections and approving expendituresUsing sales data to track, analyze and grow wine salesFully understanding competitive pricing, product characteristics and our key points of differenceServing as the face of the organization to internal and external partnersDeveloping and maintaining relationships with key clientsSetting sales quotas and goalsOverseeing and directing performance of the sales teamIdentifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunitiesThis position requires an entrepreneurial spirit and strong personal motivation to succeed in a highly competitive market.
