Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Team Leader you will: Provide support on power plant and gas storage projects, outages and maintenance activities across a fleet of assets in the UK. Ensure best practice across functions by working collaboratively and benchmarking comparisons to achieve optimum performance throughout the business. Work to improve quality performance by working cross-functionally using stakeholder management skills. Ensure all activities meet internal and external audit standards and identifying action plans for rectifying deficiencies. Carry out regular audits of the work control management process. Ensure that projects meet quality standards required to minimise cost and maximise customer satisfaction. Deliver and manage quality initiatives, working with stakeholders to ensure compliance and the highest standards of HSSEQ performance. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: A HNC or engineering degree qualification in either Project Management or Quality Assurance, with process plant knowledge. Experience in ISO9001 Quality Management Systems Requirements and Root Cause Analysis Techniques are essential. A safety management qualification (IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH certificate) is desirable. QA and QC experience in either power generation or a heavy process sector. Full UK Drivers Licence as this is a travelling role. Personal skills The Quality Assurance Engineer role would suit someone who is: An excellent communicator and able to work across functions with teams on site. Self-motivated and proactive Passionate about continuous improvements and implementing process change to enhance performance. This role can include stays away for up to 3 months during outages, Monday-Friday. Therefore, this role would suit someone who has a flexible approach to travel.
