Materials Engineer

A typical day:

1. RBI Engineer updating equipment strategies for fixed equipment.
2. Evaluate damage mechanisms based on process conditions and inspection history to determine probability of failure and provide recommended mitigating actions.
3. Equipment strategies are a multi-discipline approach, so interaction with inspections personnel, mechanical engineering, operations and process technical will be required.

Successful candidates will have:

• Undergraduate degree in Materials or Mechanical Engineering with 2-5 years work experience.
• Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training status from APEGA.
• Manages own time and can address numerous issues simultaneously.
• Interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of applicable Codes, Standards and Regulatory requirements is an asset.

Total rewards:

• 6 Months of contract position
• 5 days on/ 2 days off
