If you are looking for a dynamic organization, this is the opportunity for you. We are currently recruiting for a Director – Applied Innovation & Technology to join our team in Saint John, NB. As the Director - Applied Innovation & Technology, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technological landscape of Petroservice. You will be responsible for developing and executing the technology strategy, leading a team, and ensuring that our technological infrastructure aligns with our business objectives. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Petroservice by leveraging your expertise in technology and innovation. Your primary responsibilities will be: Technology Strategy: Develop & Execute IT Strategy including Data Management (Organization & Customer Data (ETL/ELT), Storage and Processing), ERP Management, AI, Software, and Digital Transformation. Future strategy should include: The use of IoT-based technologies and analytics to bring new value to the markets served. The process of defining use cases for the application of AI and digital transformation efforts. Lead Digitization Projects. Infrastructure and System Management: Assess current and future needs and planning for growth. Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems and applications. Manage Reporting and Analytics (Organizational and Customer-Facing). Evaluate and recommend technology investments that contribute to the company's strategic objectives. Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers including negotiating contracts, service level agreements, and licensing agreements. Manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in resource allocation. Coordinate with Corporate IT Shared Services on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Help Desk. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions. Suitable candidates will meet the following qualifications: 5+ Years of IT Management Experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Computer Science. Understanding of SQL, Python, APIs (ex: REST & SOAP). Understanding of Cybersecurity NIST Framework. Project Management Experience (Waterfall + Agile). Experience with Dynamics (CRM & GP), O365, Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, and Azure (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse) are assets. Proven and demonstrated experience building, developing, and leading a team utilizing excellent people management skills to coach and mentor. Experience working within a matrix style organizational structure. Proven and demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and following a structured sales management process. High energy, self-motivated and must have a positive attitude. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
