Job Description

As a Scrum Master, you have a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, and will implement TripArc’s Agile practices with the goal of driving business results and ensuring that products are delivered within the required timelines. The candidate must be capable of supporting multiple teams at once and work with them to foster engagement with our technology delivery teams and business stakeholders. You will ensure execution of sprints on time by facilitating key ceremonies such as daily scrums, backlog refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives. You understand the importance of the ceremonies and the benefit that each one can bring and can adapt them where appropriate to fit the needs of the organization.

You will utilize your skills as a Project Manager and will coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the person responsible for project’s organization and timeline. You have a solid understanding of project best practices such as planning, communicating, reporting, documentation, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies including estimating/sizing, planning, forecasting, reporting, conflict resolution and facilitation.
  • Ensure JIRA tickets conformity is taking place amongst all teams so data can be pulled and analyzed quickly and efficiently for resourcing and initiative purposes.
  • Track team output and achievement and work with the team to show continuous process improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, and participate in the product release management process.
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders (i.e., Business, Delivery, IT) to help remove team-level impediments, resolve conflicts, anticipate challenges, identify risks, recommend mitigations and solutions, and maximize team output.
  • Ensure compliance with TripArc’s policies and procedures for project delivery and implementation.
  • Encourage an environment of open communication and collaborative problem solving, where the impact of mistakes can be minimized through early detection and the identification of learning opportunities.
  • Develop strong partnerships with the Product Owners, Directors of Development, and Business Analysts to gain an understanding of business objectives and to facilitate alignment when managing product backlogs.
  • Work closely with Product Owners on work request prioritization and delivery timelines.
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the team meetings.
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications: PMP, Agile/Scrum (CSM, CSPO).
  • 3-5 years of working as Scrum Master and/or Project Manager, preferably both.
  • Experience in working on Agile developed projects.
  • Scrum Ceremonies including (daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and customer journey/story mapping).
  • Demonstrated experience using JIRA to manage backlogs and sprints, managing projects, roadmaps, etc.
  • Experience managing projects using JIRA, and other tools, with continuous delivery.
  • DevOps and Agile Toolset (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Strong negotiation skills and willingness to confront and be confronted.

  • Excellent communication skills and well organized.
