Group Capex Controller M/W Position Reference:  43997 Location:  Paris, FR Contract type:  Permanent Group Capex Controller will lead the controlling activities in the designated area of current and growth capital expenditure of the Group. Eramet’s business is capital intensive and has a significant investment roadmap in the upcoming years. The Group also has a regular capex maintenance and improvement programme to maintain the standard of its current assets. The main purpose of the position is to organize and improve controlling function performance with respect to the investment/capex, both centrally and locally, and contribute to the optimization of budgeting, regular monitoring and reporting routines with respect to capex. One of the important dimensions of the position is to build the link and to work closely with PMO and CTO teams, to actively participate in the defining priorities in the capex portfolio (value driven, risks), improvement of spendings control, review business model from Capital Expenditure Application (CEA) proposal, IRR, and port-investment monitoring. Main purpose of the position : General controlling activities Overseeing the financial activities of the company's capital expenditure projects, including a Capital Expenditure Application (CEA) process, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Monthly reviews and monitoring of authorized spend vs. budget and approved CEA Developing and implementing financial controls and processes to ensure the accurate and timely recording of capex transactions, including Accounts Payable for capex properly isolated from the recurring AP Drawing up analytical reports and overviews of investment, cashflow, and balance sheet elements related to capex projects as part of QBR/half-yearly/annual reporting Participating in operational/budget planning and decision-making processes related to the company's capex investments Benchmarking with the best practice (e.g. $ invested/tonne produced, fixed charge rate for project management, % engineering in total cost, etc) Working with PMO team (major development projects) Being key financial representative for PMO team, review financial models from CEA proposals Analysing and monitoring capex execution against plans, promoting transparent performance management Working with project controllers to ensure compliance with processes and reporting requirements; consolidation of financial standards for the PMO controllers Working closely CTO team (Maintenance and stay-in capex) Supporting Assets Management & Maintenance Director in building the financial framework, classifying and ranking the different projects in the portfolio (based on strategy, assets life cycle, assets impact reduction and assets improvement) Improvement of the financial practices and controls over the maintenance and management of industrial assets  Helping local financial teams to provide relevant data on capex for accurate reporting/monitoring/forecasting Driving the culture of smart spending with the objective to reduce external costs Post-investment monitoring of capex projects: monitoring of return on investment and REX CAPEX Profile & Experience : Bachelor level in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration or equivalent At least 7-10 years of relevant professional experience in a controlling role in international environment, of which at least a period in project controlling. Engineering/technical background will be a strong advantage Understanding of Risk management and Corporate Governance practices Financial understanding, strong numeric insight & analytical skills, modelling skills and attention to detail (accounting and reporting accuracy) Ability to develop and effectively manage strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers and peers Problem-solving, analytical and prioritization skills A professional, planned and organized way of working, along with an objective and pragmatic approach A self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work productively within a dynamic working environment Fluent in English both spoken and written With a presence on five continents and more than 70 nationalities, Eramet is by nature a diverse group.
