The Duty Manager challenges our expectations and brings new and exciting ideas to create exceptional guest experiences across our amazing spaces. Anticipating and attending to guest’s needs during peak service periods. Lead & support a service focused team, overseeing all aspects of the day to day operation. Develop a strong team by implementing effective inductions, on-going training, delegation and feedback. Communicate effectively, with the ability to maintain policies, procedures, and be the ultimate liaison and ambassador for the hotel. Stay on top of systems and procedures, including cash handling, payments and the PMS reservation system. Assisting with FIT and group reservations. Effectively manage guest feedback and handle complaints. This role will have a huge focus on staff, guest and stakeholder management and planning. Having a hands on approach, this position may include working a range of shifts on the front desk including AM, PM and Night Shifts.

Skills & experience

A passion for the service and hospitality industry, delivering a high standard of service to all guests. Team player, with an outgoing and happy personality, working with and helping fellow colleagues at all times. Proactive and positive mindset with a 'can do' attitude that is contagious. Working knowledge of a hotel property management system such as Opera Infrasys & Optii. Managing staff within the entire department and coordinating other departments during times of peak service. Previous experience as a Duty Manager in similar sized hotel.
