Position Summary: We are looking for a passionate Nursery Manager to lead our team and manage the day-to-day operations of our Southampton nursery. The successful candidate will ensure the provision of exceptional care and education, maintain regulatory standards, and create a positive, inclusive environment for children and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily nursery operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Lead and manage a team of early childhood educators, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
- Develop and implement educational programs and activities that meet the needs and interests of children.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date records.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the local community.
- Manage nursery budgets, resources, and staffing schedules efficiently.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the nursery's policies and procedures, making improvements as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the development and well-being of children.
- First Aid certification and safeguarding training are highly desirable.
