Mobile Electrical Maintenance Technician

Mobile Electrical Maintenance Technician Salary: £40,000 to £46,000 per annum (dependent upon experience), plus company van and benefits Hours: 43 hours per week. 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (+ 1 in 5 weeks on call including weekend) Location: Mobile role covering Wigan, Preston and Manchester What you'll be doing; Working as part of the Operations Team on Industrial Utilities plant and equipment Effective completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities on a range of Electrical and Instrumentation systems is required such as low voltage Electrical systems and verification / calibration of pressure, temperature and level instrumentation and carrying out Alarm, Trip and Interlock routines on systems. Breakdown and repair in line with electrical, control and instrumentation works. Project work including minor electrical installations and PPMs. Installation of equipment onsite. You will be responsible for the maintenance and publication of plant quality records and reports and implementing Safe Systems of Work to include production of Permit to Work, Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Supporting out of hour alarms from mobile sites through On-Call rota cover (1 in 5 weeks)What we're looking for; Essential: A proven engineering background within Electrical and/or Instrumentation industry with a recognised Time Served apprenticeship Experienced on industrial Electrical and Instrumentation equipment Experience with Electrical fault finding and maintenance Ability to assist with mechanical maintenance support Full clean driving licenceDesirable: Experience of calibrating industrial process instrumentation Experience of carrying out Alarm, Trip and Interlock testing on systems Experience of multi-skilled work to support both Electrical and Mechanical maintenance tasks within an Industrial environment Knowledge of Steam Boiler plant to aid operations, maintenance and fault finding on plant You will have experience of producing Health & Safety documentation such as Method Statement / Risk Assessments for tasks Knowledge of SCADA (BMS / PMS) and PLC systems Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Water Treatment plant & equipment such as Effluent Treatment, Demineralisation and Reverse Osmosis You will ideally possess qualification in some of the following areas - IOSH / CSCS Safety or equivalent, Confined Space, BOAS or equivalent, Steam Systems, Legionella Awareness, Industrial Gas Qualifications, IPAF / PASMA Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
