Your responsibilities include:Work closely with the QA team, developers and product owners to understand user scenarios, to transform high-level requirements into optimized automated tests.With a passion for testing, you advocate for, and contribute to, achieving the highest possible level of automation for all test cases in support of delivering quality software.Lead the effort to automate manual test cases using automation best practices.Build and maintain a stable test environment for automated testing.Analyze test results and submit quality defect reports, when required provide support to development engineers to aid in defect resolution.Ensure automated tests are added to our CI/CD pipeline.Develop and maintain a test results dashboard.Take ownership of maintaining the suite of automated tests.Work in a fast-paced environment that requires agile, clear thinking for quick turnaround of accurate, high-quality deliverables while managing multiple priorities.Find innovative solutions to any problems that may arise as a competent Test Automation Developer leveraging your ability and preparedness.Use your excellent communication skills: the ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to colleagues and stakeholders, with varying levels of technical knowledge.Work collaboratively with other teams.Take initiative, you know when to check-in, but won’t let it slow you down. You are willing to go the extra mile when it’s crunch time.You have a unique history. Does it include the education and experience listed below?Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.Solid background in software quality assurance, with 5+ years of experience as a Test Automation Developer.Strong experience designing and building automated tests in various languages and technologies.Must have experience coding with Java and Selenium, and using TestNG.Must have experience building projects in IntelliJ, and using Git.Experience in building automated tests for web apps.Proven ability to take user requirements or manual tests and build a robust suite of automated tests.Experience designing and implementing test reporting dashboards.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience in writing maintainable automated tests.Experience working within the Azure DevOps environment.Experience in the creation of Azure resources.Experience in using a source code management system.Desired Qualifications:A passion for testing excellence, solid problem-solving skills, strong work ethic and attention to detail is imperative.Creative and not afraid to think outside of the box.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to communicate with internal and external business and technical audiences.Experience adapting to change quickly, multi-tasking and working under tight deadlines.Knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies.Have experience working with clients/organizations in the health-care sector.You have an entrepreneurial spirit and can work well either independently or in a cross disciplinary team, remote or co-located.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:In Your First 30-90 Days:Complete our orientation program with other new hires to learn about HSO, our values of trust, inclusion, collaboration, innovation and learning, and our mission of quality improvement in healthcare and social services.Set your performance and learning objectives for the year in collaboration with your people manager.Meet regularly with your people manager to discuss your learning progression and alignment for your accountabilities.Take on assigned initiatives or projects for your role.What We Can OfferTo You:Competitive compensation and benefits, including a defined benefit pension plan.Time off programs, including office shutdown during last week of December.A culture that measures and values psychological safety, inclusion and engagement.WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO:Health Standards Organization (HSO) and our affiliates Accreditation Canada (AC) and the Institute for Quality Management in Healthcare (IQMH) are global, not-for-profit organizations.
