Base Salary Range: $90,000-$105,000 (subject to experience) + milestone based bonusLocation: This is a construction site based role. Upcoming sites in Langley, Abbotsford, Mission. Until the site is determined and site offices are ready for site based staff, this role will work out of our Head Office in Abbotsford (estimated 6-12 months).Role SummaryThe Assistant Project Manager is an essential member of the project management team, involved in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This position supports the Construction Manager and serves as a liaison between various stakeholders, ensuring that project goals are met within the specified timeline and budget. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting in the management of project schedules, tendering, resource management, and documentation, contributing to the overall success of the project.Key Responsibilities:Project CoordinationAssist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring timely completion of project milestones.Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Support the Construction Manager in tracking project progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure project objectives are met.Participate in project meetings, taking minutes, and following up on action items to ensure tasks are completed.Manage and control project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and other relevant documents, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.Help manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.Communication and CollaborationMaintain regular communication with the Construction Manager and other team members to ensure alignment on project goals and tasks.Facilitate effective communication between site management, the workforce, and external stakeholders.Assist in the preparation and dissemination of project updates and reports to stakeholders.Support conflict resolution efforts and help address issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.Risk ManagementAssist in identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies.Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.Participate in safety audits and inspections, reporting any concerns to the Construction Manager.Quality AssuranceHelp ensure that work performed on-site meets the project specifications and quality standards.Support the implementation of quality control measures and participate in inspections to verify compliance.Assist in resolving any quality issues that arise during the project.Financial Management      Assist in tracking project costs and ensuring that expenditures align with the budget.Support the Construction Manager in preparing financial reports and forecasts.Help manage subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring timely processing and payment.Qualifications:Relevant education or working experience in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.Familiarity with construction project management principles and practices.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on document controlProficiency in project management software and tools.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Basic understanding of construction safety regulations and practices.Working knowledge of construction cost controls and risk management.Understanding of construction project scheduling concepts and best practices.
