Job Overview:
An outstanding nursery in London is seeking a motivated and dedicated Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) to join their friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about providing high-quality early years education and care. You will work in a supportive and stimulating environment where children’s wellbeing and development are at the heart of everything.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver exceptional care and education to children aged 0-5, ensuring a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment.
* Plan and implement creative, age-appropriate activities that encourage children’s development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Monitor and assess children’s progress through regular observations and keep detailed records of their learning journey.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, ensuring open communication and trust.
* Provide key person support, tailoring care and education plans to meet the individual needs of each child.
* Promote and uphold safeguarding, health, and safety policies to ensure a secure and inclusive setting.
* Collaborate with the nursery team to maintain high standards and continuously improve the learning environment.
* Support children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development through play and structured activities.
* Attend regular staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* A Level 3 qualification in Childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
* A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and the ability to implement it in practice.
* Ability to plan and lead engaging learning activities, fostering children’s development and curiosity.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team and build relationships with parents.
* A caring, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
* Paediatric First Aid certification (required).
