Synthetic Production Chemist

Synthetic Production Chemist Permanent NE England Our NE based client is actively looking for a Synthetic Production Chemist to synthesise and process a variety of high purity chemicals. Duties for this position will include :- Working with hazardous air-sensitive compounds, the successful candidate will need to perform syntheses under inert nitrogen environments using glove box techniques, ensuring safe operations at all times Working with glassware and reaction vessels up to 100l including rig support set up Sampling resultant compounds and co-ordinating purity / characterisation testing by 3rd parties Ensuring samples are collected, stored and packaged for customers in accordance with quality and H&S protocols Completing documentation supporting synthesis , testing and packaging Working with a team of like-minded Production Chemists Responsibility for a number of safety systems within the laboratory Applications are invited from candidates with a BSc / MSc in Chemistry, together with previous suitable synthesis experience working with air sensitive compounds.
