Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description
Join our team as an Intermediate Project Engineer and lead the coordination of project execution in alignment with client requirements and objectives. Ensure projects are delivered within cost and schedule constraints while adhering to quality procedures and practices. Your role will involve:
Coordinating multi-discipline functions within the project scope.
Managing key stakeholder interfaces.
Ensuring performance is in accordance with contract specifications.
Participating in reviews.
Managing project scope changes.
Preparing reports.
Coordinating equipment sizing and selection.
Involvement in the Bid / Evaluate / Award process.
Checking drawings.
Participating in model reviews.
Supervising junior project engineers.
Hard Skills
Professional Engineer registration (APEGA Certified) or eligibility to register
3-5 years of oil and gas industry experience
Undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Experience in project management and vendor management
Experience working on skids, compressors, or large packages
Experience in fabrication and rotating equipment (preferred)
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to handle conflict
Capability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changes
Ability to interface effectively with clients and fabrication shops
This role is based in a fully in-office environment where project engineers work closely with project managers. Reporting structures may vary as groups switch, focusing on the compression side of the business. Responsibilities may range from handling a single project to juggling multiple projects simultaneously. Projects vary in scope from $20K to $500M.
