SEMH Learning Support Assistant Altrincham Full-Time ASAP start date - Maternity cover until July 2025 £400-£450 Weekly Pay (PAYE - No Umbrella Company) Do you have experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs? If so, New Directions would like to hear from you! We are representing a Secondary school in Altrincham who are looking for an exceptional SEMH learning support assistant (LSA) to join them ASAP to cover a maternity until the end of the academic year. The school have asked for candidates with SEMH experience only! Responsibilities of the role included but are not limited to: Have excellent communication skills. Be able to build strong relationships with students with varying needs and staff. Be encouraging and supportive. Have a positive attitude towards teaching and aiding children's development - especially with young children with additional needs. Ensure the safety and well-being of the student.Job Specification: Supervise and provide learning support for children in small groups and on a one to one basis Assist with the development of individual education and behavioural plans setting challenging expectations for pupils to achieve learning goals. Establish trusting relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs and personalities.
