JOB OPPORTUNITY CASUAL SHORT-TERM PILOT (Projects) (PA-60 Piper Aerostar and/or Cessna 208 Caravan.) Company Name: Forest Protection Limited Address: 2502 Route 102 Highway, Fredericton (Lincoln), New Brunswick Term: Casual, 1 to 3 months (May 2025-July 2025) Employment Type: Casual We are inviting applications for casual Project Pilot in Fredericton New Brunswick for the 2025 season. These are short term, 1–3-month term positions. Reporting to the Chief Pilot and working on projects with Base Managers, pilots will operate on deployed projects in New Brunswick and other provinces: Operate assigned aircraft in accordance with FPL’s Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures Perform all key job duties and any other assigned by the Flight Operations Management team from time to time Adhere to instructions issued by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on fire suppression or instructions from the base manager when assigned to aerial application projects. Complete required pre-flight and post-flight paperwork in a timely and thorough manner Report all items requiring maintenance on the aircraft as soon as possible Responsible for the cleanliness of the aircraft at all times Successful candidates will be expected to work in a team environment, and shifts operate on a stand-by according to weather conditions. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a high level of effective communication, discipline, sound decision-making skills, a willingness to learn, and work in a team. QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate must: Possess a Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing and; Have obtained at least 1000 hours of total time and 100hrs multi-engine PIC. Experience in a Piper Aerostar, Cessna Caravan, or aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000NXI is an asset. Preference will be given to candidates having experience with turbine engines and low altitude operations like aerial application. OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Conditions of employment are as below: Legally entitled to work in Canada and are required to obtain a Criminal Record Check. Have a valid driver's license for travel within and outside the province.
