As an SEN Teacher within an Autism Specific Provision spanning Early Years to Post 16 students, you hold a crucial role in offering customised support and guidance to individuals with Autism. Your expertise and empathy are instrumental in fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth, empowering them to flourish comprehensively. Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher in Bournemouth: Designing and delivering individualised lessons and learning activities that cater to the unique needs of students with Autism. Implementing evidence-based strategies and interventions to support students' academic, social, and emotional development. Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to develop comprehensive support plans and ensure a holistic approach to student well-being. Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies as needed to promote continuous growth and achievement. Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and fosters a sense of belonging for all students. Qualifications and Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent SEN teaching qualification. Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders or related special educational needs. Strong understanding of SEN best practices, interventions, and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
