Job Title: Supply Teacher Location: Torbay Start Date: September Are you an experienced, Supply Teacher looking for a new role within education? Do you manage classes effectively, with high expectations of behaviour? Do you establish a safe and stimulating learning environment? TeacherActive are delighted to be looking for an experienced Supply Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive community of educators for a variety of mainstream secondary schools in the Torbay area. You will need to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, and know when and how to differentiate  appropriately, enabling all pupils to be taught effectively. The successful Supply Teacher will need to: Hold QTS / Qualified Teacher Status, with a minimum of 6 months experience within a UK classroom setting (ECT / Early Career Teachers are also encouraged to apply) Have the flexibility to deliver lessons across the whole UK secondary curriculum Have experience teaching across KS3 / Key Stage 3 and KS4 / Key Stage 4 (experience up to KS5 / Key Stage 5 desirable) Demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to pupils’ needs Make use of formative and summative assessments to secure pupils’ progress In return, TeacherActive will provide you with a dedicated consultant, to support you in this role and any further opportunities within your career.
