Electrician

We have a temporary Electrical Craft role available within TATA Steels Shotton site. The successful applicant will be responsible for general Electrical duties, upgrading substation lighting, tray work containment and assistance to the Senior Electrical Craft individuals. Role: Electrical Craft Location: TATA Steel, Shotton Works, Shotton Records Centre, Deeside CH5 2NH Rate: £33,500 per annum (£16.51ph) Contract length: 6 months initially Shift Patterns: 39 hours per week, Mon-Thu 08:00-16:00 and Fri 08:00-15:00 Overtime available (sporadically) Start: ASAP Responsibilities: Day to day duties include general electric, upgrading lighting to LEDs and traywork containment Preventive/corrective maintenance on HV/LV network Assisting in fault resolution Testing of the works earthing network Run and maintain standby generators weekly Undertake risk assessments and contribute to the Health and Safety plan Conducting checklist inspections within the substation Occasional supervision of ApprenticesEssential requirements: Time served Electrician holding HNC qualification (or equivalent) 18th Edition holder (17th Edition will be considered) Relevant experience within an industrial environment Driving licence and use of a car Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent understanding of Health and Safety legislation Desirable requirements: Experience and knowledge using SAP Knowledge of HV equipment Benefits: Advice and editing on your current CV Dedicated team throughout your journey within the role Paid holiday Exclusive online services including restaurant and retail discounts Chance to receive £300* for referring a friend Opportunity for progression into permanent roles Competitive rates of pay Does this role sound interesting?
