The Finance team is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join its team. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, you will be a key member for the Tax team. The ideal candidate will have good communication, ability to see and relay risks and strong time-management skills.

Responsabilities & Duties :

  • Prepare the tax provision and corporate tax returns, including SR&ED and other tax credits claims
  • Prepare tax forms, such as: T106, T1134, T1135, T2054, T2057, NR4, T4A-NR, T5, GST/QST returns, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain relevant tax balances and calculations, such as: safe income, tax surplus, ACB, CDA, etc.
  • Review commercial contracts to assess tax risks
  • Coordinate tax audits with authorities;
  • Coordinate and follow-up on the Company’s tax instalments;
  • Participate in the preparation of transfer pricing contemporaneous documentation;
  • Keep track of changes to existing tax laws and regulations;
  • Conduct tax research and analysis on significant tax positions in order to properly manage the related tax risks;
  • Collaborate and support the Tax team on contemplated projects, such as: acquisitions, tax planning, restructurings, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned/required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills (French and English)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Environment, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Autonomous, responsible, and resourceful individual
  • Must be able to manage and follow all tax files in progress with diligence and professionalism
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Collaborative mindset; driven towards solutions

Qualifications

Education

Required

Master or better.

Experience

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Accounting combined with a CPA designation

3-5 years:

3-5 years:

Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in tax

Preferred

A Master’s Degree in Tax or completion of the CPA Canada's In-depth tax program is an asset
