Job Opportunity: Contracts Manager at Groundworks and Landscaping Contractor Location: Lanarkshire Company: Established and reputable groundworks and landscaping contractor Position: Contracts Manager Overview: Contracts Scotland is collaborating with a distinguished groundworks and landscaping contractor to find an experienced Contracts Manager. This role involves overseeing multiple sites to ensure effective coordination among departments and site management teams. Emphasis is on meeting health and safety standards, maintaining quality, adhering to project timelines, and achieving cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Development: Identify potential commercial opportunities during the tender stages. Pre-Construction Planning: Develop plans and commercial strategies before construction begins. Project Delivery: Lead efforts across both existing and new sites. Program and Subcontractor Management: Create construction programs and assist in selecting subcontractors. Communication: Facilitate effective communication among clients, technical teams, and the commercial department. Team Management: Oversee the construction team to ensure effective management. HSEQ Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environment, and quality protocols. Contractual Compliance: Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations. Performance Monitoring: Closely monitor project performance and initiate corrective actions as necessary. Reporting: Support the preparation and timely release of comprehensive management reports. Staff Evaluation: Assess the performance of staff members. Key Success Factors/Preferred Experience: Educational Background: A minimum of a degree or HND in civil engineering or a related field. Experience: Previous experience in civil engineering on  housing groundworks projects is essential. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring seamless execution and optimal resource allocation. Systematic Approach: A methodical approach to task execution. Commercial Acumen: Keen business sense with a strategic approach to project operations, contributing to successful financial outcomes. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and liaison abilities. People Management: Proficient in people management with comprehensive knowledge of construction and civil engineering practices and regulations.
