Senior Project Manager – ICI Construction

A Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project management including construction project start up, schedules, and obtaining necessary permits. They adopt Gateman-Milloy Inc.’s project management policies and the use of systems, prepare project revenue targets and budgets, establish performance standards, and interpret project costing reports for executive management.Responsibilities:Management of ICI construction projects with values in excess of $5M, keeping projects on budget and on schedule to satisfy budgets and divisional business planCoach junior and intermediate level Project Managers and their support staff with varied backgrounds and experienceAid in developing project estimates and proposals, add value engineering, and modifying the scope of work as necessary to minimize cost of constructionManage site meetings, RFI’s, invoices, and control the document processReport to executive management any concerns/trends with projects that may be critical to the division’s financial performanceCoordinate Site Supervisor, subtrades, materials, and project workforce needsManage project activities throughout project lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors necessary for successTrack all project costs to ensure completion within budgetClosely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party workers, such as consultants, and subtradesRequirements:A university degree or college diploma in construction or civil engineering technology, or project management is requiredMinimum 5+ years experience in project management in the ICI construction industry preferredC.E.T. and or equivalent combinations of technical training is an assetExcellent problem solving and communication skillsIdentify and manage risksWell organized and able to work well under pressureExcellent computer proficiency, especially MS Word, Excel, Project.Proficiency in AutoCAD 2007 and Timberline is an assetAccommodations during the recruitment process are available to applicants with disabilities.
