Business Services & Corporate Advisory (Accounting)

To support our growing and changing business, we are looking for a manager within our Tax and Business Advisory Division. A Tax and Business Advisory manager will act as a conduit between the team, clients, and key stakeholders to proactively address accounting, compliance, and business needs.

This position will provide internal and external stakeholders with exceptional service by developing an in-depth understanding of each client's circumstances and ensuring the team's smooth operation. In addition to establishing trusted team relationships, creating high-performing teams, nurturing and developing direct reports, understanding own development needs, and addressing these needs for continuous improvement - self and team.

Working closely with the Partners and leading the team to deliver upon multiple client ledgers with a remit of varying complexities and industries. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Plan and organise all resources to meet client and firm commitments, ensuring work is completed on time, on budget and to high-quality standards, focusing on job profitability and meeting productivity and billing targets.
  2. Conduct first/final review of accounting and business services assignments completed for clients, including Accounts, BAS, budgets, cash flow, profit forecasts, payroll, benchmarking, and management reporting, to name a few.
  3. Identify and implement measures to help the division meet key performance indicators such as team productivity, fees, budgets, number of new clients, and work in progress.
  4. Analyse financial information, interpret relevant legislation and introduce appropriate action plans to clients for use within their business to support their growth and development.
  5. Prepare and monitor billings within specified timeframes.

About You

  • You will be degree qualified with a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Business or other similar qualification.
  • Have completed a CA or CPA qualification.
  • You are technically proficient and up to date with the latest accounting software developments (cloud-based accounting software).
  • Sound judgement, critical thinking, and analytical skills are vital in supporting client service delivery requirements.
  • You will also possess a high level of drive, integrity, and organisational skills, able to manage and coordinate a variety of internal stakeholders to support the team to achieve goals and deadlines.
  • Your key strengths are your commitment to provide exceptional client services and team leadership. Your highly collaborative approach will enable you to build networks and establish trusting business relationships.
  • You hold a current national police clearance (within six months).
  • And have Australian working rights.
