Quality Engineer

Ref: 629 Role: Quality Engineer Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 D.O.E Located: Dudley Hours:- Monday – Friday 8.30am-5pm Our client is looking for an experienced and driven Quality Engineer to come and work for a world leading manufacturing company The role: * Evaluate and qualify of new suppliers, including continuous monitoring & improvement activities of existing suppliers. – Management & Distribution of the supplier performance score * Conduct the management of Supplier, Customer & internal NCR’s, from initial receipt acknowledgement, through constant and corrective actions, to resolve, where appropriate, using 8D Methodology Prepare & perform QMS (Quality Management System) audits to ensure that all procedures and instructions related to the QMS are effective and adhered to. * Prepare & perform QMS (Quality Management System) audits to ensure that all procedures and instructions related to the QMS are effective and adhered to. * Prefer trained QMS auditor with Six Sigma awareness. * Manage the Internal Audit schedule for QMS Systems * Carry out internal and external Audits of QMS systems * Produce Monthly KPI reports, agree and drive action plans * Produce 8D Reports, corrective and preventative action plans * Produce and distribute Supplier performance cards * Root cause Analysis for Customer/Internal NCR’s Key Skills: * Minimum experience required 2 years in quality related position. * Ability to read Technical Drawings. * Complete 8D report analysis with regard to investigation root cause analysis for all Complaints/NCRs. * Supplier performance analysis. * Experience of problem-solving processes and use of basic quality tools. * Excellent teamwork & verbal/ written communication skills * This is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities for this post.
