CAD Technologist & Production Coordinator

About the RoleDesigning Audio-Visual and Technology systems includes the development and delivery of reports, presentations, drawing packages, and detailed specifications. VWMason's CAD Technologist & Production Coordinator will support the design of audio-visual and technology systems for new construction and renovation projects. This full-time intermediate salary position reports to the managing partner and will work collaboratively with the principals, consultants, and other technologists.ResponsibilitiesDesign Responsibilities·      Participate in client and stakeholder consultations·      Contribute to design team consultations and meetings·      Architectural and electrical coordination·      Interdisciplinary document reviewsProduction Responsibilities·      AutoCAD and Revit Drafting of audio-visual and technology systems·      Development of AutoCAD and Revit template·      BIM Coordination and management·      Document and file management·      Development and implementation of production management tools·      Support Managing Partner with scheduling and prioritization·      Coordinate document production, packaging, and deliveryConstruction Responsibilities·      Procurement documentation and support·      Submittal review and analysis·      Contract Admin review and documentation·      Report writingQualifications·      2-year Diploma in Architectural or Engineering Technology and 5 years of related work experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit. Or – 8 years related work experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit.·      Experience with architectural or engineering document production·      Experience administrating document coordination and delivery·      Experience with Word, Excel, Microsoft 365, and Windows software·      Aptitude for design, drafting, and administration·      Interest in audio-visual and other technologyAbout VWMasonVWMason is an inclusive, collaborative, and creative workplace with a team approach to design, innovation, and production.
