If you are a hands on Supply Chain or Planning professional who is positive in your approach with a flair for problem solving and people leadership then we have the perfect role for you. We are working exclusively with an ingredients manufacturer, who are part of a wider international group, in the search for a Supply Chain Manager to lead their team in Essex. The Supply Chain Manager is a new position within the business and will head up the planning, transport, warehouse and procurement functions. Alongside this you will be responsible for leading and delivering the transformation of the planning system and supply chain functions. The person that will be successful as the Supply Chain Manager will: * Be positive and hands on in your approach, with the ability inject enthusiasm and energy into teams * Have a strong eye for detail * Be able to build and strengthen relationships both internally and externally * Be driven and resilient * Be a proactive and collaborative problem solver The business boasts a long standing tenure of over 100 years and stands at the heart of the community. The experience you will need: * Led and developed multidisciplined teams as a Planning or Supply Chain Manager or above * Have a background within food manufacturing. Ideally this will be with chilled or short shelf life products * Fantastic excel skills, ideally having good knowledge around Power BI or Python * Have led the transformation of planning systems from identification through to implementation * A demonstrable background within identifying and delivering Planning and Supply Chain improvements Some of the key responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager: * To ensure the operations are planned to optimise and manage stock levels of raw material, internal component products and finished goods * To lead the transformation and improvement of business planning systems and processes * To lead a monthly S&OP process to ensure that sales forecasts are embedded in operational planning * Develop the supply chain resource to ensure the right structure and level of skills are embedded to meet the business requirements * To ensure stocks are managed to deliver OTIF levels consistently above 99% They are offering the successful candidate a salary of circa £60,000 per annum plus bonus and other benefits. For the right candidate relocation support will be considered.
