DIRECTOR OF EHEALTH SERVICES PURPOSE Reporting to the Executive Director , the Director of eHealth Services will spearhead the advancement of healthcare services through strategic leadership and the integration of innovative solutions. This key leadership role will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of virtual health initiatives that are grounded in First Nations' values and priorities. The Director will work closely with senior leadership and frontline managers to ensure health programs are culturally relevant, effective, and sustainable. RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership & Planning Develop and execute a comprehensive 5-year eHealth strategy that incorporates cultural, social, and health priorities, ensuring alignment with both community needs and organizational goals. This process will include active engagement with all eHealth communities and the incorporation of continuous feedback to refine and adapt the strategy over time. Lead the design and implementation of services that prioritize accessibility, cultural relevance, and effectiveness. Collaborate with senior leadership and first-line managers to ensure the seamless integration of the eHealth strategy into day-to-day operations, addressing challenges and optimizing performance. Cultivate a culture of ongoing innovation by incorporating advanced technologies and enhancing community-centered health services. Innovation & Technology Integration Oversee the development, management, and integration of virtual health technologies, ensuring they are tailored to meet the unique needs of First Nations communities. Coordinate with internal teams and external technology providers to implement scalable health solutions. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvements in virtual care. Lead efforts to evaluate and select technologies that enhance patient access, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency. Community Engagement & Stakeholder Relations Act as the primary liaison with First Nations communities to ensure that all eHealth initiatives are led by community needs and reflect cultural values. Facilitate ongoing stakeholder engagement sessions with health workers, community leaders, and external partners to gather feedback and refine health programs. Establish and maintain a continuous feedback loop with communities to refine and adapt health programs, ensuring they are responsive and effective. Engage with federal and provincial governments, advocating for funding and resources to support the sustainability and expansion of eHealth initiatives. Build strong, lasting partnerships with external organizations, including government bodies, healthcare providers, and research institutions, to enhance the visibility and impact of KO’s eHealth efforts. Quality Assurance & Compliance Lead the establishment of quality assurance metrics and performance indicators to monitor the effectiveness of all virtual care programs. Ensure all eHealth services adhere to legal and regulatory standards, while promoting evidence-based practices and continuous improvement. Conduct regular audits of programs and services, proposing enhancements based on data-driven insights and community feedback. Report regularly to the Executive Director, providing strategic insights, KPI updates, and recommendations for long-term service improvement. Financial Stewardship & Reporting Lead the preparation and submission of funding proposals in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring attention to both financial detail and community needs. Work closely with finance teams to ensure sound budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation for all eHealth initiatives. Maintain clear and transparent financial reporting, aligned with the organization's goals and strategic priorities. Supervising First-Line Managers & Staff Performance Ensure the completion of annual and required performance appraisals for all eHealth staff, providing timely feedback and development opportunities. Supervise and mentor first-line managers, fostering a leadership culture focused on collaboration, professional growth, and accountability. Support first-line managers in effectively supervising their teams and achieving program objectives, while aligning individual performance with organizational goals. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Post-secondary degree or equivalent in health information systems, health policy/public administration, or related field. Minimum of five years of leadership experience with a strong background in health, public policy, or a relevant discipline. Proven ability to lead large-scale, community-based projects and manage complex stakeholder relationships, with a demonstrated capacity to foster technology-driven improvements. Strong aptitude for leveraging technology and innovation, and comfortable navigating various digital platforms and tools. Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. Ability to speak and write in Cree, Oji-Cree, or Ojibway is a significant asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
