User Experience Engineer

Technologies developed at Epson Canada have a global reach.We are seeking a UX Designer to act as a bridge between users and development. The successful candidate shall have solid background in designing industrial applications, will be able to understand customer needs and the functionality of our software systems in a holistic manner to optimize the process, pipeline and UI for our imaging and robotics applications. Responsibilities:Understand the technical and business requirements from internal and external stakeholders.Build, communicate and improve end-to-end UI solutions through mock-ups, prototypes and detailed specs.Tailor deliverables targeting PoCs and MVPs based on product and/or functional requirements, technical limitations, and stakeholder needs.Collaborate with solution, core research and business analysis team members to construct UI interface and provide intuitive experience to intended users.Collaborate with internal and external teams to adjust and improve design work through iterative processes.Provide modular components design patterns and libraries to ensure design coherence across all projects.Must haves:Minimum Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field3-5 years of professional experience in UX design for applications and design tools, such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch. 3-5 years of professional GUI design experience using C#.NET, Python.Able to work within constraints, and execute with attention to detailsGreat communication and presentation skillsGood to have:Knowledge and experience with design of cross-platform (Windows, Linux) console applications Knowledge and experience with design of server/client web applications Knowledge and experience with design of robotics applications Knowledge and experience with design Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning applications Knowledge and experience with C++ and QtBenefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects.Dynamic and collaborative work environment.Career growth and development opportunities.We thank all candidates who apply, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.We’re an equal opportunity employer.
