This person will engage with suppliers, internal stakeholders and customers alike, to make sure that Cogent is representing all parties and providing profit focussed solutions to our customers in the grazing and block calving space. Key Responsibilities: To be the subject matter expert for all pasture based genetics. To take the lead in managing inventory and provide forecasts and orders to suppliers in order to have the product in place for key selling periods throughout calendar year.   To work closely with the Cogent marketing team to work on strategies and content bespoke to the pasture based space. To take the lead and work with the marketing team on the LIC, and Grazing, catalogues and website data. To support the Cogent sales teams with key account strategies and interactions, including farm visits. To be the contact point for the Genetic audit tool, TRACKER in terms of technical support and developments. To be responsible for knowledge transfer across the Cogent sales team regarding industry and product developments. To liaise regularly with the wider industry, including suppliers and partners. To comply with Company policy and best practise in security, legal and regulatory compliance To ensure that all H&S responsibilities are fulfilled and that the team’s (including the role holder), visitors and contractors’ safety and welfare is maintained Managing / liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Desirable Skills and Attributes: Knowledge of pasture based farming is essential. Ability to be creative and take an innovative approach to new projects. Experience of genetics for grazing systems an advantage. Excellent communication skills. Experienced in using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Ability and confidence to deliver presentations. Driven by organisation, accuracy and attention to detail. Ambitious with eagerness to develop Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally if required
