THE ROLECMA Ships is experiencing strong growth in its fleet of vessels, with a large number of container ships under construction. These vessels are equipped with numerous innovative technologies, with the aim of optimising performance, meeting the needs of our seafarers/customers and achieving the Net Zero Carbon objective by 2050.As part of this process, we are opening up several Fleet Superintendent positions in Le Havre. Your main role is to represent the shipowner on board ships and in ports. You will deal with specific situations by taking appropriate action to optimise ship management.RESPONSIBILITIESReporting to the Fleet Manager, your responsibilities are:Ensuring the operational monitoring of container ships of your areaFor each vessel, you initiate investigations, determine the purchases and repairs to be carried out in order to comply with shipping technical norms, expiry dates and the company’s standards. After the approval of your managers, you implement themDuring technical interventions, you will supervise and coordinate crew members and external participants (repair yards, shipping experts, classifications Companies, etc.)Challenge root cause analysis of defects raised by 3rd parties and import feedbacks in owned fleetYou are the key contact of chief engineers, captains, Lines and shipyards. In addition, you draw up and monitor operational budgets allocated to each vesselAppointed CMA Ships expert & representative onsite if requiredYou update all shipping documents and official certificates that are necessary for the vesselYou control the vessels consumptions (oil, fuel, etc.) and participate in their optimization for decarbonisation and cost savings purposesIn sum, you ensure the good conditions of the vessels’ seaworthiness and their business performance (certificates, international obligations, speed, capacity, lifting gear, etc.)PROFILE & COMPETENCIESYou have a chief/second engineer license, or a degree in naval engineering5-year experience at least as a seafarer and/or in a similar positionVery fluent in spoken and written English and proficient with office and IT toolsYou have good knowledge of international shipping regulations. Expert knowledge in a technical field (hull, engines, etc.) is appreciatedYou are interested in decarbonisation topics related to the maritime industryYour rigour, responsiveness, and capacity for analysis and synthesis, combined with interpersonal skills, enables you to succeed in your missionsThe position involves frequent business trip (about 45 days/year). #J-18808-Ljbffr
