The team is focused on converting data to actionable insights for our business partners who can utilize to reduce administrative cost and improve the customer's experience.This position will work within the ESS Business Intelligence team, gathering and documenting data requirements for Data Science, Data Consulting, Data Visualization and Reporting.The Senior Data Manager acquires, cleans and develops datasets from internal and external sources to support business analysis and reporting. The individual will acquire, validate, store, protect, and adhere to processes around data to ensure accessibility, reliability, and timeliness for its users. The candidate will also be responsible for developing and executing data architectures, policies, practices and procedures that properly manage the full data lifecycle needs of an enterprise.The ideal candidate will:Interact with business and IT departments in understanding user needsTranslate business needs to technical requirements in terms of data needsBe self-motivated and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlinesServe as a liaison between IT and businessMaintain confidentiality and work independentlyIdentify opportunities for process improvementsCoordinate with other teams to ensure all aspects of data needs are taken into accountCoordinate the completion of projects on time and within scopePrepare data for reporting and analysis including visualizations to support business requirementsPerform in-depth data analysis to derive insights that drive business outcomes and decisionsExhibit strong written and verbal communication skillsBe an innovative thinker with an innate curiosity around dataWork with clients, listen to their needs and make suggestions on potential solutionsPossess experience in problem analysis and process documentationRequired QualificationsMinimum 7 years of technical experience in data analysis using ETL tools and developing ETL packages using SSISExtensive experience developing stored procedures and dynamic SQLExperience making complex data more accessible and understandable for leadersExperience leading projects through entire life cycle, from design, coding, code review and deploymentProficient in root cause analysisDemonstrated ability to problem solve and provide solutions for business or data issuesGood presentation skills to conduct demonstration meetings with clientsExperience working with deadlines and addressing customer satisfactionWork-At-Home RequirementsAt minimum, a download speed of 25 mbps and an upload speed of 10 mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
