Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Shrewsbury Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 An opportunity has opened for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a manufacturing company based in Shrewsbury. The ideal candidate will have a couple of years experience in Mechanical design and looking to take that next step in their career. You will be comfortable in taking designs from concept through to manufacture and be able to use 2D and 3D CAD packages. What they’re looking for: * Experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer * Experience of 2D and 3D CAD packages like Solidworks and AutoCAD * Excellent mechanical systems knowledge * Any mechatronics or electronics knowledge a bonus * New product development experience would be a bonus Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities: * Working with the Engineering team, designing new mechanical systems and products * Using 2D and 3D CAD on mechanical designs * Ensuring designs are to the highest quality and pass risk and safety assessments * Preparing product specification * Documentation and reports If you could be interested in finding out more about the role as a Mechanical Design Engineer, please apply here
