Architectural Draftsperson Location: Calgary | June 20, 2024

The Role

Responsibilities would be to create residential architectural construction documents utilizing AutoCad software.

The Responsibilities

• Produce and review master sets for model library including: base models, elevations, detailing, and pre-planned options
• Strong understanding of new projects including knowledge of building methods and materials
• Prepare jobs for developer and permit applications
• Meet and maintain production schedules
• Provide plan input for value engineering, in conjunction with other departments

Now Let’s Talk About You

• 5+ years of industry related experience
• Experience with Architectural Drafting and/or 3D BIM software, ex. AutoCad, Vertex BD or Revit Architecture
• Experience with drafting plot plans
• Knowledge with construction details and practices in order to produce material quantity outputs for estimating and purchasing
• Proven ability to provide feasible recommendations to complex problems in a highly time-sensitive environment
• Ability to organize and prioritize effectively between day-to-day and project-based work
• Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong work ethic with an attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to learn
• Self-motivated for success
• Residential construction experience is considered an asset

Our ‘Must Haves’

• Post-secondary degree, post-secondary diploma in Architectural Technology, or equivalent

Bonus Points

• Experience in residential construction, including on-site field construction
• PHBI Courses
