Our VENTANA slide scanners are unique because they produce high quality scan and provide consistent, reproducible images with a low rescan rate. The scanners also come with built-in calibration and use a tray-based system which eliminates slide-handling errors and improves reliability.The Opportunity:You will define system requirements for Digital Pathology software (including software programs and applications, user interface software and/or software algorithms) and instrumentation projects, and prepare written specifications according to standard templates and guidelines, using a simplified language methodology.You will own both New Product Development and legacy product developmentYou will create Use Case specifications and break down high level feature requirements into functional requirements to an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by Developers and Verification testers.You will manage the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirementsYou will execute experiments and participate in experimental design, and utilizes DOE where appropriate.You will create design change order (documents, parts or process), and release documentation in Agile.You will have the ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people and departments across organizational functions within the company, as well as with customer, suppliers, and other people outside the companyWho you are:You have a BS/BA degree in Engineering discipline or relevant fieldYou have 8 years of related experience in software development and/or systems developmentYou have extensive experience within Software Development Lifecycle (familiarity of translating requirements into features)Prior experience as a Product Owner (owned ideation to implementation experience)You have 5 years of requirements gathering experiencePreferred:You have an Advanced degreeYou have experience in medical device or biotech based commercially launched productsYou have experience in Configuration and Risk Management experienceThe expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Santa Clara, CA is 125,200-232,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
