As an experienced consulting and management professional, you will be responsible for client success through the oversight of planning, executing and monitoring multiple projects to ensure project satisfaction.

While Alithya’s clients are your customers, Alithya consultants are your primary asset. Just as client-facing responsibilities are your main focus, the positioning, marketability, and development of Alithya consultants are at the heart of your success.

The ideal candidate possesses expert-level knowledge in a vertical discipline, industry, technology, or cross products in the technical and application area. They must demonstrate competencies in areas of leadership, creativity, efficiency, excellence, integrity, flexibility, relationship management and influence while exhibiting Alithya’s values.

Manage:

a team of consultants and team leads;

the overall profitability of your client implementations, including labour hours and expenses per the approved budget.

Provide:

project management oversight for four to six project teams;

sales support following project implementation;

clients with smooth transition from the sales phase into product implementation;

ongoing management and guidance to your assigned client team, consisting of experienced service professionals who will work closely with you to execute your clients’ projects;

guidance to less experienced managers and consultants.

Monitor:

the quality aspects of deliverables and implementation activities;

the engagement performance, and present the implementation success, challenges and results in a consultative manner.

Develop and deliver quality presentations to clients and management;

Act as a liaison with client sponsors and steering committees to ensure the successful delivery of commitments, quality, and alignment with the scope;

Follow the escalation path for any deviation in scope;

Review project deliverables to ensure they meet the project scope, company’s objectives, and business requirements;

Ensure services, project performance and deliverables are aligned to deliver expected business outcomes;

Remove project delivery barriers, and resolve and escalate issues with recommendations to the steering committee;

Build sponsorship coalition to manage organizational change;

Identify and mitigate risks and other barriers for a successful project execution and escalate issues as appropriate;

Quickly identify key implementation risks or challenges and work closely with your internal team and the client to address them;

Prepare plans and quotes, and outline a specific scope of work to the client with input from the internal team;

Ensure your client team manages the prescribed timelines, meets deliverable deadlines, and is recognized for providing high-quality work and compelling results;

Continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness, both internally and with clients;

Coach and mentor consultants in methodologies and tools:

Assist them in their application in project situations when necessary;

Provide consulting management to consultants on some engagements if required.

Submit timesheets as well as expense, status and management reports (e.g., backlog and utilization) in a timely manner;

Support project managers in the professional services software that is used;

Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and assessing and enhancing consultant skills.

Does this sound like you?

Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience;

Minimum of five years of experience in a managerial or leadership role;

Industry knowledge in ERP, CRM, manufacturing, professional services, higher education or distribution (strong asset);

Ability to:

identify opportunities for future implementations;

gather client requirements and effectively communicate them to your internal client team;

plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction;

thrive in a high-energy, small-business environment.

Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize, while working with a sense of urgency against a weekly and monthly deadline;

Strong and effective decision-making and project management skills;

Effective leader and team player;

Exceptionally strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.


Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, a proficient level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a frequent basis with clients outside of Quebec.
