Family Support Worker - Liverpool

Family Support Worker  Liverpool 26/08/2024 – 3 months initially Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, 35 hrs/week – Hybrid Provide support to vulnerable, disadvantaged children, young people, and their families/carers to prevent family breakdown Assess the needs of children, and reduce and manage risk Support with the delivery of interventions to children and their families subject to a LON4 assessment Planning and organisation of an appropriate range of resources Promote the safeguarding of children and young people Work with the families to reduce challenging behaviour Support parents in developing practical parenting strategies which enhance positive parent/carer-child relations. This can include facilitated meetings between family members Establish positive and meaningful working relationships Keep and maintain accurate records of work done, produce reports where necessary Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary Requirements UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance NVQ Level 3 in child care and education, NND, Health and Social Care qualification Experience of delivering outreach and home based support to children and families to address areas of identified need Experience of effective collaborative and multi-agency working to support children and families Ability to work alone and as part of a team across a range of services Good written and verbal communication skills Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services in an equal opportunities employer.
