Senior Mechanical Engineer

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer for our client – an industry leading mechanical engineering consultancy. Over the past 25+ years, our client has leveraged their expertise in mechanical design and project management to deliver solutions for HVAC, plumbing and drainage, fire protection systems, and energy modelling projects located across Western Canada and California. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer / Designer to join their Calgary office.You will be a passionate team player with proven technical expertise as it relates to mechanical building projects. If you’re a Mechanical Engineer/Designer looking to take the next step in your career, this is one role you definitely don’t want to pass up!Responsibilities:Lead design projects related to mechanical building systems.Coach and mentor junior engineers and designers.Engage in hands-on technical work as required.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Requirements:Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma, with 7+ years of experience as a professional Engineer.Detailed understanding of all building systems, including architectural, structural, civil, electrical, and fire, and how they impact and are impacted by the mechanical systems.Excellent written skills and understanding of software programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Word.An ability to schedule, mentor, and manage project teams of 1-3 people, on 2 or more concurrent projects.A willingness to jump-in on projects and be hands-on technically when required.Equal Opportunities:MatchBox is committed to providing equal opportunities for all applicants.
