Senior Researcher - Noise Simulation for Quantum ControlQubit Pharmaceuticals is looking for a highly qualified Senior Researcher to lead our project on noise simulation for quantum control research, hardware characterization, and dataset generation for testing quantum algorithms under realistic noisy conditions.The perfect fit for this job:We are seeking a senior quantum physics/control/computing scientist who is a problem solver with computational skills and an analytical mindset. A passionate scientist with time and project management skills, as well as leadership abilities, is essential for this position.A scientist with a strong background in computational quantum physics, error mitigation, quantum control, noise models, and machine learning.Your role:Lead the development of noise simulation software for quantum processors.Generate and analyze datasets for benchmarking quantum algorithms.Develop new methods for quantum control and error mitigation.Collaborate with hardware developers and research institutions.Mentor junior researchers and students involved in the project.Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at conferences.Your Qualifications:PhD in quantum computing, computational physics, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the quantum computing field.Strong quantum information background, with experience in quantum noise models, error mitigation, and quantum control.Strong background in the physics of relevant quantum computing platforms.Strong experience in Python programming, including using relevant programming packages.Experience with collaborative software development platforms (GitHub, GitLab), ideally via contributions to open-source quantum computing software kits.Experience in performing simulations on HPC systems (CPU/GPU) is desirable.Proven track record of research excellence demonstrated through publications and conference presentations.Excellent problem-solving skills.Strong experience in independent work and supervising junior colleagues/students.The proposal benefits & perks:Duration: Full time – PermanentStarting date: September 2024Salary according to profileHealth insurance and provident fund 100% coveredLunch vouchers worth €9 covered at 50%.Possibility of remote work for 2 days per week. #J-18808-Ljbffr
