CQ Health provides public health services across Central Queensland, in hospitals and in the community. CQ Health is a statutory body governed by our Board. We serve a growing population of approximately 250,000 people and employ more than 3,700 staff, treating more than 700,000 patients each year. The health service has a diverse geographic footprint, ranging from regional cities to remote townships in the west and beachside communities along the coast. About the role:

The Executive Director of Service Expansion, Strategy, and Planning reports directly to the Health Service Chief Executive (HSCE) and is responsible for providing strategic leadership, as well as assuming accountability for the day to day delivery of strategic direction, planning, and service expansion across CQ Health. This work aligns with our key initiatives, Destination 2030, the Clinical Services Plan, and the Health Equity Strategy. The Executive Director of Service Expansion, Strategy, and Planning is a pivotal senior leadership role within CQHHS, responsible for guiding the strategic direction, planning, and expansion of services to meet the evolving healthcare needs of Central Queensland. This role involves overseeing the development of strategic and operational plans, master facility planning, and service delivery for new and expanded services. The Executive Director will also lead governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement efforts, ensuring that projects are successfully commissioned and operationally effective. With a focus on fostering a collaborative culture, the position requires a seasoned leader with extensive experience in healthcare strategy, project management, and organisational change. What we offer:
