We are seeking a skilled and motivated Wireless and Electromagnetics Research Scientist to join our team, whose mission is to take a first principles physics based approach to new wireless topologies for wearable devices. This scientist will innovate in multiple areas including wearable antennas and wireless modules. We are specifically looking for a candidate with breadth across electromagnetics, wireless architecture, RF silicon systems, and with depth in electromagnetics. This role will also collaborate with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of exceptional researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing facilities. We seek people who work well on teams, can brainstorm and communicate big ideas, and can plan and drive development activities. Wireless and Electromagnetics Research Scientist Lead Responsibilities: Lead wearable wireless architecture research working closely with a cross-functional team of wireless experts. Execute on research direction and transfer new antenna, module, and wireless system innovations to product teams. Partner and collaborate with researchers, hardware engineers, device and systems integration teams, and external partners to push beyond state-of-the-art. Motivate and leverage innovations in materials, manufacturing, and engineering in partner teams to enable new wearable architectures. Minimum Qualifications: PhD degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. 10+ years of experience in the wireless field. 10+ years of experience in inventing and maturing technology from research/ideation to productization. Experience across a variety of wireless systems, including understanding of electromagnetics/antennas, RF silicon systems, and RF modules. Expertise with common simulation platforms to evaluate Wireless performance. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Qualifications: Track record of delivering new wireless device architectures to the market. Background in connecting finite element analysis with hands on measurement. Proven track record of success in solving complex technical problems with breadth and depth, critical thinking and decision-making. Experience working across broad, highly-collaborative cross-functional teams to deliver on challenging problems. Evidence of strong organization, communication, and documentation skills used to bring new technologies and product categories to market in a complex fast-paced environment.
