Construction Estimator

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and well reputed GC firm dedicated to interior renovation and addition projects in the municipal and institutional sectors across the GTA and South Western, ON.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Oversee the tender and quantity take off process on multiple estimating projects
• Oversee and manage the pre-qualification process for municipal project bidding, vendor relations
• Deal directly with subtrades in preparation of tender documents
• Work with the Chief Estimator to close tenders and proposals
• Manage the transition of the successful project estimating to the project management team for execution
• All other responsibilities as required

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• 2-7 years of estimating experience within the GTA GC interiors, municipal and institutional sectors
• Experience estimating projects in the scope of $1M - $10M;
• Local market experience with good trade relations;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience overseeing prequalification process
• Willingness to maintain technical knowledge through professional development, education workshops and reviewing technical publications.
